RIVERDALE, Utah (AP) -- A 38-year-old Union Pacific Railroad employee was killed Monday after police believe he was run over by a train car.
Police speculate the employee was riding on the car to link it up to a train when he slipped underneath, Detective Nolan Geilmann said.
The victim's name has not been released pending notification of relatives.
Police were notified about 3:50 a.m. Monday of the accident in rail yards about 30 miles north of Salt Lake City.
Both the Riverdale police and Union Pacific are investigating the accident.
