MOAB, Utah (AP) -- Arches National Park in Utah will be featured as part of a line of "America the Beautiful" quarters that debut next year.
The U.S. Mint says the quarters will be issued in the order that the various places were established as national sites.
The Utah quarter will be issued in 2014 and is the 23rd planned in the program. A total of 56 sites will be featured.
The National Park Service Web site says the park has more than 2,000 natural sandstone arches and other rock formations. The freestanding Delicate Arch is the most recognizable feature at the park.
Arches National Monument was created April 12, 1929. It became a national park on Nov. 12, 1971.
