CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) -- A Beryl man died over the weekend when his camper caught on fire.
Iron County Sheriff's Detective Jody Edwards says 89-year-old Howard Peterson died in the blaze.
Edwards says Peterson would heat his camper with hot plates and space heaters. Edwards says one of the space heaters ignited the camper.
The blaze was reported at 10:45 p-m on Sunday. Edwards said when the Beryl Fire Department arrived, the camper was fully engulfed and Peterson's body was found under the debris.
Edwards says he believes Peterson died of smoke inhalation.
