OGDEN, Utah (AP) -- A University of Utah student was arrested over the weekend after arranging sex with a minor he had been chatting with online.
Ogden police said the 20-year-old planned to have sex with a 13-year-old after talking with the her online. That "girl" turned out to be Ogden Detective Colten Johansen.
The man made contact with Johansen, and after an hour, agreed to meet Johansen near 25th Street in Ogden.
Johansen said when police arrived at the location they found a car matching the description of the one the man said he would be driving.
Johansen said when officers approached the vehicle, the man told them he was there to meet a 13-year-old girl for sex.
The college student was booked into the Weber County Correctional Facility for investigation of enticing a minor over the Internet.
Charges are pending.
