MIDVALE -- A car hit a TRAX train in Midvale Monday evening.
Midvale police say it happened at 8000 South and 100 East just after 7 p.m. They say because of the sun, the driver of the car traveling west on 8000 South did not see the TRAX arms down.
The vehicle, traveling 20-30 miles per hour, hit the side of the southbound train. The driver and two passengers in the car were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Passengers were on board the train, but none of them were hurt. The accident caused only minor delays in TRAX service.
