SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Three suspects charged in the kidnapping and beating of a teen last week near Cedar City have waived extradition.

Twenty-two-year-old Gary J. Hunt, 20-year-old Tiffany Nichole Nelson and 18-year-old Joseph Nicholas Godfrey will be returned to Utah by May 7th.

The three were arrested on Friday in El Paso, Texas. The fourth suspect, 22-year-old Shawn Lewis Douglas was arrested earlier in Utah.

Authorities said the 17-year-old West Point boy claimed he was beaten at a home in Clearfield and then taken to Iron County and severely beaten and threatened with a knife.

Detectives say the suspects claimed the teen owed Nelson money and that the teen had stolen drugs from them.
