(KSL News) -- The Mayor of Salt Lake County offered thanks and praise to a team of volunteers.
In an awards luncheon Peter Corroon presented John Warnke and Kelly Roemer with the "Volunteer Coordinator of the Year" award.
The mayor also presented a team award to the Parks and Recreation department for their "Coaches Certification Training" program. Salt Lake County has about 30-thousand volunteers who, last year alone, completed one million hours of service.
