ELY, Nevada (AP) -- Four people were killed in a head-on collision on US 93 near Ely, Nevada over the weekend.
The Nevada Highway Patrol said 33-year-old Phillip Tilson of Provo, Utah was southbound when he drifted across the centerline and struck an oncoming car head-on. The driver of that car was 36-year-old Oscar Guerrero of Azusa, California.
Tilson, and his passenger, 22-year-old Jenny Demmick of Spanish Fork, Utah were killed in the early Sunday crash. Guerrero and his mother, 65-year-old Juana Gaxiola of Burley, Idaho also died.
Troopers said alcohol may be a contributing factor in the crash.
