SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A lawsuit has been filed against Chuck-A-Rama Buffet, Incorporation in Salt Lake City. The lawsuit alleges the company provided food to customers that was unfit for consumption.
The man who filed the suit states that in November 2002, he participated in a business luncheon at the Chuck-A-Rama. He said soon after eating there, he became ill and believes it was a result of "willful and malicious conduct" of employees.
He said he was examined and found to have a large hernia in his stomach due to extreme vomiting from food poisoning and required immediate medical attention.
The lawsuit states, after several reports from ill patrons, the location was inspected by the Salt Lake Valley Health Department and was "involuntarily shut down."
