(KSL News) -- A left-hand turn in Pleasant Grove knocked out power to nearly eight thousand people.
The driver of a semi-truck was trying to turn left on Center Street, but a part of his trailer snagged a power line. When he turned, the pole snapped in half.

One piece landed on a car with two women inside, the other in a railyard.
The women stayed put until power crews cleaned up the mess. Fortunately, they weren't hurt.
The power is back on.
