FILLMORE, Utah (AP) -- A man whose body was found in a bed at a Millard County farm may have been killed the night before in a drunken fight, authorities said.
James G. Ballester, 50, was found dead around 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Sgt. Roger Young of the Millard County Sheriff's Office said Ballester and another man started fighting late Tuesday night after drinking with a woman at the farm north of Fillmore.
"I think they just got a little drunk and . . . whatever sets people off," Young said.
The other man, who apparently hit Ballester twice in the head with his fist, was arrested on suspicion of felony homicide. Charges are expected to be filed on Monday.
The woman somehow broke both feet and told medical staff about the altercation. The hospital informed the sheriff's office.
Young said it hadn't been determined how Ballester entered the bed.
"I don't think he was struck in bed," Young said. "The indications are they were in some kind of fight outside the residence."
All three people have a history of alcohol-related offenses, Young said. They have moved around the area, staying wherever they could camp, and had lived on the farm for about six weeks, Young said.
