PROVO, Utah (AP) -- Steven Greenstreet, who dropped out of Brigham Young to make a documentary about the controversial visit of liberal filmmaker Michael Moore and conservative radio talk show host Sean Hannity to Utah Valley State College, has returned from a 23-college campus tour.

Greenstreet said his film, "This Divided State," played to capacity or standing room only crowds at every venue.

Among the schools visited were Princeton, Cornell and Yale, North Carolina, Kentucky, Southern Cal, Stanford and University of California at Berkeley.

"I am really surprised at the success we've had," Greenstreet said. "I thought it would be of interest to people in Utah, but people from all over have taken to it. It's been a really nice experience."

The Documentary Film Guild of London has made arrangements for Greenstreet to fly to England at the end of May and show the film. Greenstreet is in discussions with a Belgium film guild for a similar arrangement.

The campus tour was underwritten by Campus Progress, a project of the liberal Center for American Progress.

"I wanted to be as unbiased as I could in making the film, but whoever wants to make it possible for people to see it, I don't care what their political affiliation is," he said.

Greenstreet said he a DVD of the film in Utah stores by July or August and distributed nationally by next fall.

"About three weeks ago, (Moore) called us and asked for a copy of the film," Greenstreet said. "After we sent him a copy, his agent called us back and said (Moore) liked it."

He hasn't been so lucky in getting the film to Sean Hannity. Greenstreet said that he has gone "through all the channels" to contact Hannity, but has only received what he calls "the cold shoulder."

Greenstreet hopes to eventually return to school, "but for right now, I'm going with this."
