(KSL News) -- All the rain and snow caused some major power outages.

About 300 homes in Ogden still don't have electricity. Utah Power hopes to restore power by the end of the day.

In Davis and Weber County the damage to some lines is more extensive, affecting about 40 homes. No estimates yet on when that will be fixed.

Because it's spring, there are leaves on the trees, putting extra weight on the branches, so with the snow the branches are pushed down farther than normal and into power lines.
