(KSL News) -- Salt Lake County Search and Rescue teams scoured the Red Butte Gardens creek this morning for a man who supposedly fell in the water.
A transeint told a security officer at the University of Utah that his friend fell in the creek. Because the man was soaking wet, the officer called search crews.
The friend was eventually found in a pump house near the creek. He never fell in the water.
Both men were treated for hypothermia at University hospital.
