Amanda Butterfield ReportingA big group of people in Holladay are getting together tonight to watch ‘The Apprentice’, cheering for Tana. She used to live here and most of her family and friends still do. Tana's new found fame is keeping the entire family busy.
With her daughter now a star on The Apprentice, Deanna Colazzi is now her personal secretary, responding to messages and sending out press releases on her daughter's behalf. Deanna's got to get it all done soon because she and the rest of the family are heading to New York, to cheer on Tana for the season finale next Thursday.
Deanna Colaizzi, Tana's Mother: “The only thing she wanted from her family during this was that we would all be able to come to the finale.”
She's in charge of organizing an athletic challenge, but the real challenge is going to be leading her team. But Deanna has total confidence in her daughter and isn't afraid to admit she's not surprised Tana made it this far.
Deanna Colaizzi: "I sound arrogant, but yes I can believe this; she is quite an unusual woman."
Unusual enough that Deanne is writing a book about her.
Deanna Colaizzi: "As these programs were going on, people were like, ‘tell what she was like as a child, tell me about her.’"
So that's what she's doing, in between coordinating Tana's media relations. And if Tana is hired by Trump, the book will have a perfect ending. And sizing up the competition, Deanna says it's a no brainer.
Deanna Colaizzi: "Why I think she deserves to be picked is because Tana is very level headed, she has a maturity the other girl does not have."
But Trump will have to decide that. A one-hour countdown to the season finale of Apprentice airs tonight at 8 pm on channel 5.
