Amanda Butterfield reporting The weekend is just about here, and if you're still looking for something fun to do, here is this week's Fun Friday idea.
We've received some great viewer suggestions. Several of you said you liked to play games. If the only games that come to mind are Monopoly and Checkers , then we have an idea for you!
Have you ever played Settlers of Catan? What about Carcassonne? (car-kuh-sahn). Both are games sold... and taught at Game Night Games...a European game store in Sugar House.
Friday and Saturday nights, gamers bring it all to the table...
Matt Tolman: "It seems every night I come, I learn a different game. You get a lot of chances to interact with people, talk with people learn some new things, play some fun games."
Audrey White: "We just thought it would be a fun thing to do on a friday night. It's always fun to get away from the regular movie."
Manager Tim Hall says European games are faster-paced, less luck dependant and more including than some of the American favorites.
Tim Hall, Owner, Game Night Games: "You don't have player elimination and nobody get knocked out early so player get to play right up until the bitter, bitter end."
The store also hosts competitions for those who play to win. But if you're just looking for some Friday Fun-- Let the games begin!
