OGDEN, Utah (AP) -- A 12-year-old Ogden boy is in serious condition this morning after he fell 20 to 40-feet while hiking.

Weber County Sheriff's Sergeant John Morrow said the boy was hiking yesterday with his family at Jump Off Canyon.

Morrow said Weber County's search and rescue team were called to the scene. The boy was taken by helicopter to Primary Children's Medical Center. The boy suffered from head and leg injuries.

Morrow said the boy landed on his back.
