RIVERTON, Utah (AP) -- Intermountain Health Care plans a new hospital in Riverton to serve the rapidly growing southwestern Salt Lake County area.

The 40- to 50-bed hospital will be called I-H-C Southwest Valley Hospital and will be on 67 acres on the southeast corner of Bangerter Highway and 12600 South. Groundbreaking will begin this fall, with completion expected in two years.

The design of the new hospital includes the possibility of expansion.
