(KSL News) -- Uinta Elementary students raised 12-hundred dollars in honor of a classmate who died of cancer.

Simon Vo- do- sek would have turned 8, yesterday. To commemorate his birthday, students set up a home-made lemonade stand at Liberty Heights.

Students Sell Lemonade In Honor of Classmate

Besides lemonade, those who donated also got a piece of Simon's birthday cake.

All of the money will go to pediatric cancer research.
