(KSL News) -- West Valley Police evacuated about 15 homes tonight while they negotiated with a man with a gun.

The incident began about 8:30 pm. Police surrounded the house after the man reportedly threatened to kill himself.
Police tell us neighborhood church members were visiting the man's house when he pulled a gun and told them to leave.
No shots were fired and police took the man into custody about 10:00.
