FARMINGTON, Utah (AP) -- A woman and her boyfriend have been charged with kidnapping her one-year-old niece.
The girl's mother called police on Monday to report her sister, 27-year-old Alisha Elaine Kennington, had NOT returned her daughter after babysitting.
Police claim the baby's aunt allegedly kept the child for nearly 12 hours at the boyfriend's house. Officers said Kennington and 28-year-old Arthur John Hollins, were arrested on Tuesday when they tried to leave the home with the baby.
Police say the baby had no obvious injuries and was in good health. Kennington's motive for allegedly NOT returning the child is not clear at this time.
