(KSL News) -- The first black General Authority for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has died.
Helvecio Martins served in the Second Quorum of the Seventy from March 31, 1990, to Sept. 30, 1995, serving in the Brazil Area presidency.
He died May 14th in Sao Paulo, Brazil, from heart problems. He was 75.
