Richard Piatt ReportingCriminal charges are pending against Dell Schanze, also known as 'Super Dell', owner of Totally Awesome Computers.

Police in Draper say Schanze pulled a gun on a group of neighbors after they confronted him for speeding down their street. Today Schanze made it clear, in his own way, that he's outraged at the charges.

Dell Schanze: "I was absolutely shocked when I found out they're pressing charges against me, and not the bad guys, hello!?"

For Dell Schanze, the charges--reckless driving and threatening with a weapon in a fight--are an injustice. But to people who live in a Draper neighborhood, the injustice was a speeding car on their street a week and a half ago.

Witnesses say Schanze's Jaguar was going at least 50 miles per hour, so fast it brought people out of their homes. A few actually followed the car to the Hang Gliding park at the end of the street. According to a police report, when they confronted Schanze, the scene escalated.

Dell Schanze: "They're absolutely steam coming out of their ears, psycho road ragers, you have no idea, you can't trust what they're going to do."

Schanze says he was so concerned for his safety that he drew a 10 millimeter Glock handgun after one of the neighbors threatened to damage his car. That's when someone called the police. The group who confronted Schanze are now shy to comment on the incident. But 11 of them dispute Schanze's version of what happened.

In addition to his computer business, Schanze also sells guns and teaches gun safety classes. Prosecutors say if he's convicted of the 'threatening with a weapon in a fight' charge, it could affect his own carry-conceal status.
