ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) -- A man missing and presumed drowned at Gunlock Reservoir has been identified as 23-year-old Trent Johnson of St. George.

The man was swept over a 30-foot waterfall while on a family outing Monday.

He had been sliding down a moss-covered pour-over that flowed into a smaller pool out of the main channel. That pool spills over a 25- to 30-foot drop into a larger pool.

The family members intended to go only into the small pool and then get out, but Johnson apparently got too near the edge of the pool and was swept over.

A trackhoe was used yesterday to remove debris from the larger pool at the base of the waterfall.
