(KSL News) -- A group of Utah soldiers just set foot on American soil for the first time in more than a year.

Soldiers Return Home from Afghanistan

The 141st battalion of the Utah National Guard returned home after 18 months away. They were was serving in Afghanistan. Family and friends gave the seventeen soldiers a red, white and blue welcome at this long-awaited reunion.

Keith Moon: "It was worth it. I think we really helped the people in Afghanistan and helped them improve their lives. My family was willing to make that sacrifice with me."

The 141st battalion is an intelligence unit.
