(KSL News) Rescue teams were able to pluck a hiker from Zion National Park.
Michael Hargrove of Houston, Texas, was carried out of the rugged Pine Creek drainage area on Thursday. It took search teams nine and a half hours to complete the rescue.
Park rangers called for help late Wednesday night.
Hargrove was found in a large boulder field in the Pine Creek slot canyon. He had severe abdominal pain and was unable to move.
He's now recovering at Dixie Regional Medical Center.
