ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) -- A "red flag" warning has been issued for all of southwestern Utah.
It was issued to warn the public of high fire danger because of dry grass and windy conditions.
Jodi Hamel, with the Bureau of Land Management, said the public needs to be extremely cautions with any fire and driving off-road.
Hamel said fire crews just finished putting out several fires caused by lightning strikes and humans.
The National Weather Service said winds up to 35 miles per hour, combined with extremely dry fuels such as grass and shrub, are expected to keep the fire danger in the red zone through next week.
