(KSL News) -- June 7 is National Hunger Awareness Day and people everywhere are doing their part to increase awareness, including the Utah Food Bank here in Salt Lake City.
Today the food bank kicked off its annual Summer Utah Business Food Drive to collect food during a time many people forget to donate.
Amberlie Phillips Utah Food Bank Development Director: "A part of low-income families, a lot of the problem they have is not necessarily a lack of food, but a lack of nutritious food. So any sort of vegetables or low sugar fruits we can get to help them maintain a balanced diet is really important."
