(KSL News) -- Salt Lake County Sheriff's detectives are investigating several business burglaries on the east side.
Five businesses within a block of each other were robbed early yesterday morning.
An alarm went off at a business near 19-hundred East and 48th South around two in the morning.
Deputies responded and discovered someone had broken into four other nearby restaurants and small businesses.
In most of the cases case, the intruder took money from cash registers. In one case, the thief took the register itself.
