(KSL News) An effort to add safety precautions to a deadly intersection in Farmington may have paid off.

Jacob Pratt was driving through the intersection of 1100 West and Clark Lane when an SUV ran a stop sign and slammed into his car. Jacob died.

Following the crash, Jacob's family, friends, and residents who live near the intersection rallied for change.

The Standard-Examiner is reporting the Farmington City Council has set aside 370 thousand dollars to improve the safety at that intersection.
