ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) -- The 12,286-acre Blue Springs fire in southwestern Utah was contained Monday, and the 11,128-acre Diamond Complex fire remained at 95 percent containment and was expected to be fully contained on Tuesday.

Many firefighters were on duty late into the night on Monday to handle any blazes started by fireworks, fire officials said.

Fifty firefighters, aided by eight engines, two single-engine air tanks, a heavy air tanker and a heavy helicopter kept a fireworks-ignited fire on the Arizona border to 25 acres. The blaze was on the southeast side of Interstate 15 Exit 27 in Arizona.
