(KSL News) -- An eight-year-old girl drowned this afternoon in Salt Lake County.
The girl was apparently swimming with some friends when they noticed she wasn't around. They saw her at the bottom of the pool and immediately ran for help.
The girl's parents pulled her out and did CPR until crews arrived. She was taken to Primary Children's Medical Center in extremely critical condition, but later died.
Investigators are not sure what led to the accident.
