SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The last two of four men accused of taking part in clubbing 18 hundred turkeys to death at a Sanpete County farm last year have been sentenced to 30 days in jail.
Twenty-three-year-old Cody Long and 20-year-old Colton Belliston also were ordered by sixth District Judge David Mower to obtain mental health counseling and pay 21 hundred dollars in restitution.
The punishment for Long and Belliston was identical to sentences handed down in April to Travis Argyle and Martin Smith, both 19.
On February eight 2004, the men and boys were driving off-road when one of their vehicles became stuck in mud near the turkey farm in the Fountain Green area. While the truck was being freed from the mud, they entered a shed and began hitting turkeys on the head with tree branches.
