(KSL News) -- Witnesses say a motorcycle rider raced head on into a fatal accident. His motorcycle collided with a dump truck head on.

Police say he was speeding through traffic this morning when he rammed into the truck head on.
Police say he was wearing a helmet, but reckless driving doesn't make up for safety measures.
Dan Starks, Utah Highway Patrol: "Obviously speed kills, it sounds a little bit silly and redundant, but it truly does. The gentleman was wearing a helmet, he's obviously a mature adult. But it is easy to get carried away."
The name of the driver has not been released.
