(KSL News) -- A chemical spill forced authorities to temporarily close down a business in Midvale today.
A hazardous materials team responded to West Marine, after an employee spilled about 20 ounces of hydrochloric acid on herself and inside the store.
Crews were able to clean up the mess. The employee was taken to the hospital, but is okay.
West Marine uses the chemical to remove barnacles from boats.
