(KSL News) -- The Dammeron Fire in Southern Utah is about 20 percent contained after strong efforts by some 200 firefighters.

The fire has already burned 5,000 acres in an area 12 miles north of Saint George.
The fire was burning to the east, away from Washington County communities, but three unoccupied cabins on private land in the Dixie National Forest are threatened.
The blaze is two fires that burned together. Lightning ignited one on Friday, the other started Saturday.
