Amanda Butterfield reporting A nasty car crash overnight sends two to the hospital, and it's likely it could have been prevented.
West Jordan police are waiting for test results to determine what caused a driver to hit a telephone pole on the Old Bingham Highway.

Lt. Dean Waters/West Jordan Police Dept.: "We are investigating the driver for possible alcohol use. Blood tech is on the way. We're going to take some blood and see if indeed he has been drinking."
Four people -- ranging from age 14 to 35 -- were traveling down Old Bingham Highway last night.
Police say the driver lost control and slammed into a telephone poll. The impact flipped the car, rolling it at least once.
A 14-year-old boy was flown to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver was rushed to the hospital by ambulance.
Two others were treated at the scene and released.
Police suspect the driver was also speeding. No one was wearing a seatbelt.
According to West Jordan Police, the 14-year-old boy should recover. He broke some bones, and hit his head, but they are not life threatening injuries.
