CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) -- A Utah National Guard member killed in Iraq will be buried on Tuesday with full military honors.
Services for Sergeant First Class Ronald Wood are scheduled at noon in the Cedar High School Auditorium.
Wood was killed July 16th in Kirkuk, Iraq. A bomb struck the Humvee he was riding in with two other Utah soldiers. Sergeant Christopher L. Olsen of Logan and Specialist Eric Lund of Providence were treated for shrapnel wounds.
The Ronald Wood Fund has been set up at State Bank of Southern Utah to assist the family with funeral and other expenses.
Wood is survived by his parents: Ron and Jody Wood, of Canon City, Colorado and four siblings, Nathan, Cody, Johnny and Julie.
