Greg Neft Reporting Utah Latino leaders say they'll circulate a petition next year calling for a halt on immigration raids like the one in a meat packing plant in Hyrum a few weeks ago.
The head of Centro Civico Mexicano says those targeted are not dangerous people.
John Remteria: "We're not talking about people here performing or threatening terrorist acts on our country."
John Remteria says until Congress passes immigration reform, what happened at the Swift plant should not happen elsewhere. They plan statements and petition drives next year.
However, Alex Segura with the Utah Minutemen says everyone has to follow the law.
Alex Segura: "I think that's ridiculous. Why should we stop law enforcement efforts for people that are criminals in this country?"
He says they are planning their own campaign.
