SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A Salt Lake City man has been sentenced for shooting a teen to death and wounding another last year.

Yesterday, a judge ordered 20-year-old Joshua Leotos Charles to prison for up to 25 years.

Charles was convicted in April of second-degree manslaughter for killing 18-year-old Charlos Ortiz last March. He was also convicted of third-degree attempted manslaughter for wounding 17-year-old Roy Vargas, and obstruction of justice for throwing the weapon into the Jordan River.

Authorities said the victims were standing on Ortiz's grandmother's front porch when they were shot.

Police said the shooting was the result of an ongoing feud.
