(KSL News) It appears Utah Governor John Huntsman Jr. has the majority support of Utahns to build an alliance with Mexico and tackle the illegal immigration issue.
According to a KSL-TV/ Deseret Morning News Poll, 78 percent of residents favor the governor's proposed alliance.
An incredible 85 percent believe his focus on immigration issues is important.
Governor Huntsman met with Mexican President Vicente Fox and other leaders last month to pitch an alliance on trade and tourism as well as cultural and education exchanges.
At that time, the governor pledged to Fox that he would take the lead on searching for solutions to the immigration issues.
