SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Million of people across the country will gathered tonight to take part in the 22nd annual National Night Out Against Crime.

Here in Utah, residents are invited to come out tonight and take part several events going on around the state.

National Project coordinator Matt Peskin says this is a night for America to stand together to promote awareness, safety and neighborhood unity.

Event promoters say National Night Out is an opportunity for neighbors to get to know each other so they can better recognize suspicious behavior in their neighborhoods.
