SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The Utah Department of Health says it appears the outbreak of swine flu has declined in Utah.
The department on Wednesday reported that there have been 17 swine flu-related deaths in the state, with 300 hospitalized cases.
The department also says influenza-like illness rates in Utah over the past week are below the epidemic threshold.
Wednesday's report was the last of the 2008-09 influenza season. The department says the 2009-10 season will start on Sept. 1.
