Press ReleaseSALT LAKE COUNTY -- Monday is the mail-in voter registration deadline for cities holding primary elections on September 15th. Mail-in forms must be postmarked on or before Monday's date in order to be processed for the September 15th primary elections.

After this deadline, individuals who are not already registered to vote and wish to participate in the September 15th Municipal Primary Election will need to register by appearing in person in the County Clerk's Office on or before August 31st.

"Registering to vote by mail is the most convenient way to register," said County Clerk Sherrie Swensen. Swensen has placed mail-in voter registration forms in counter displays at post offices and libraries throughout the county. A mail-in voter registration form is also available on the County Clerk's website at and on page 47 in the white pages of the telephone directory.
