SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Record low high temperatures are being reported throughout Utah.

Nearly a dozen different weather stations reported record low high temperatures or ties on Sunday, including Alpine, where the high was 74, and Alta, where the high temperature was 58 degrees on Sunday.

In Alpine the previous record was 80 degrees, set in 2002, and in Alta it was 64 degrees, also set in 2002.

A record low high temperature means the lowest maximum temperature reported on a given day.

Utah is supposed to heat up midweek, with temperatures cooling slightly again as the weekend approaches.
