(KSL News) The City of South Jordan is saying no to a toll road.
Tolls were suggested as a way to pay for the Mountain View Corridor, a proposed 40-mile freeway along the west side of the valley.
But the South Jordan City Council wants state lawmakers to oppose tolls.
There is currently no funding for what is expected to be a 2-billion dollar project, and tolls would significantly reduce the cost to the state.
A decision on the project is not expected until late next year.
