PROVO -- BYU is running low on ice cream. But the school says more will be on the way soon.
BYU shut down its creamery plant in April last year for remodeling. To make sure it had enough ice cream, it stockpiled a year's supply of the 20 most popular flavors.
But that stockpile is almost gone. Dean Wright, the school's director of dining services, tells the Deseret News they're down to seven flavors in the three-gallon size. BYU has enough small containers to make it through the first two football games.
After that, the creamery should be back up and running, providing up to 50 flavors for distribution at on-campus locations. The Deseret News reports the most popular flavors are vanilla, cookies and cream, chocolate chip cookie dough and chocolate.
