LOS ANGELES, Aug 4 (AFP) - Actress Jane Seymour, famed for her role in "Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman," is returning to television in a comedy series to be made by famed producer Jerry Bruckheimer, the industry press said Thursday.

The British-born movie star and former James Bond girl will take the lead role in "Modern Men," a situation comedy to be made for Warner Bros. by "Black Hawk Down" and "Pearl Harbor" producer Bruckheimer, according to Daily Variety.

The show focuses on three now very grown-up men who were childhood friends who seek the aid of a blunt-spoken life coach, played by Seymour, to help them with romance and women.

The show will mark the first return to the small screen for Seymour, 54, since her long-running drama show "Dr. Quinn left the airwaves five years ago.

Semour is currently appearing on the big-screen in the comedy movie "Wedding Crashers," starring Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn, and has just finished filming the romantic comedy "Blind Guy," which is due for release next year.

"Modern Men" also marks Bruckheimer's first stab at television comedy, although he did produce the hit "Beverly Hills Cop" movies starring Eddie Murphy.

The show is due to debut in 2006.
