PANGUITCH, Utah (AP) -- Firefighters say a blaze in southwestern Utah has burned 2,900 acres and is considered 35 percent contained.
The Horse Valley fire continues to burn in aspen, mixed conifer and ponderosa pine. On Tuesday there were about 280 people trying to put out the fire, which is southwest of Panguitch.
Crews have been focusing on spot fires along the fire's northern edge.
Lightning set off the fire July 2.
