(KSL News) There's an outcry for the death penalty from Davis County residents after details of Shelby Andrews' murder were revealed.
Monday, Ryan Andrews confessed he and his wife, Angela, trapped their 10-year-old daughter, Shelby, in a closet after multiple beatings and torture.
When details of the abuse were released, The Deseret Morning News reports phones began ringing off the hook at the Davis County Attorney's Office with people demanding the couple get the death penalty.
However, prosecutors cannot charge the couple with aggravated murder because there's not proof that they intended to kill her.
